Girls in Malawi love to go to school but many of them do not have access to education.
Sade Lumi Education Project is going to build a free school for teenage girls in a remote area of Malawi, where access to education is a huge problem.

Education and home

The school will have accommodation for girls who live too far to walk to school, so they can put all their energy and time into their studies.

They will be able to attend both regular school classes as well as learn vocational skills so they can leave the school with good prospects for the future.

Safe space for teenage mums

After Covid-19 lockdown, there has been a big surge of unwanted teenage pregnancies in Malawi, with girls as young as 10 years. Sade Lumi school will provide girls with a safe place to live, have an education and lots of support raising their babies. These teenage mums would normally have to drop out of the education system and we want to give them a better future.
